Operation Koala

Background - Different forms of transport are used to move people and animals all around the world. Big cargo ships carry heavy containers, semi-trailer trucks carry loads across the land and aeroplanes transport people and cargo long distances from country to country through the air.

Task - You have to investigate and then choose the best form of transport to carry a koala from Sydney Australia to a zoo in Japan.

Find where Sydney Australia is and put your finger on that spot.

Then find where the country Japan is and trace your finger from Sydney to Japan.

Visit each of these web sites on Land, Sea and Air Transport and take notes using the worksheet. (You can print a copy of the worksheets first by clicking on this link - Worksheet).
