A natural disaster has destroyed some areas of Australia and endangered many native animals. Luckily 12 animals have been rescued and a special nature reserve to help save these animals is being built in your town.
These rescued animals come from different types of environment and will need conditions which suit them if they are to survive. The nature reserve will have a variety of environments and your job is to decide...

Which area of the nature reserve will best suit each animal?

Download and print out the worksheet  to record your findings about where these animals live so you can place them in the environment best suited to their needs in the new nature reserve. (View the Worksheet here)

Click on the butterfly for information about the 12 animals and the environments where they live.

Using Kid Pix (or a similar program) design a map of the nature reserve showing the three environments.

Using the information gathered on your worksheet, place the animals in their correct environment on the map using stamps or drawings.

Thank you for helping to save these animals.
